Education Minister: education system in doldrum, recruitment married with corruption, nepotism

Douglas Siakalima has warned that those who will be found with fake results or certificates will not just be disqualified but will also be arrested.

Siakalima describes the last 10 years of PF administration as a lost decade. He has urged the country to accept this and then have a new start.

The Minister says there are wrong people in offices who bought their way in through corruption and nepotism. He says this is the reason why they have no difficult stealing drugs.

Siakalima wass speaking when he delivered a Ministerial statement on Teacher Recruitment which he says law enforcement agencies have been involved to ensure no corruption and nepotism.

Zambia for the first time is recruiting 30, 000 Teachers and 11, 000 Health Workers at ago the highest in history.
