ZESCO Ndola Girls will tomorrow host Indeni Roses in an Electric Ndola Derby on League D-Day set for Trade Fair Ground at 15:00hours to decide who will face Zone B winners YASA Queens in semi-final play-offs next week.
ZESCO’s situation in the playoffs was compromised after being held to a disappointing 1-all draw by Police Dove Queens last weekend while Indeni pocketed 3 free points after Solwezi Academy failed to show up and that result put Indeni in the second position ahead of ZESCO Ndola Girls.
Indeni who have a pending case with Nkwazi Queens who appealed for their game to be replayed currently sits in second position with 31 points, 1 ahead of third-placed ZESCO Ndola Girls.
However, if Nkwazi’s case is not considered then Indeni will already be runners-up in Zone A, for now we await for the verdict and tomorrow’s match will have everything to offer as bragging rights are at stake.
Avell Chitundu, Penelope Mulubwa, Thandiwe Ndhlovu and Happy Pinto will lead ZESCO Ndola Girls charge for maximum points.
Veteran Noria Sosala is expected to lead the Indeni Roses attack with Rhoda Chileshe and Esther ‘Onga’ Namukwasa controlling midfield play.
